Start with the customers already looking for you
Before spending on ads, make sure people who search for your business can find correct details and reach you easily. Many small businesses lose enquiries through missed calls and slow replies, not lack of visibility.

1. Keep your Google Business Profile complete
Add accurate address, hours, phone number, photos and services. Reply to reviews politely. Customers searching nearby often see this before your website.
2. Use WhatsApp for follow-up, with permission
Save every enquiry with name, need and date. Reply quickly, share a clear price or next step, and follow up on a planned schedule. Only message people who contacted you or agreed to hear from you, and stop when they ask.
3. Post useful content, not only offers
Short videos or posts that answer common customer questions, show your work process or explain how to choose a product build trust. Post consistently rather than occasionally.
4. Track where enquiries come from
Ask every new customer how they heard about you, or use tagged links for ads. Compare the enquiries and sales from each channel before increasing spend.
5. Test ads with a small budget
Start with a small daily budget aimed at a clear customer type and location. Review cost per enquiry and actual sales weekly. Ads amplify a working sales process; they do not fix a broken one.
Your first action this week
Check last month's enquiries: how many got a reply within an hour, and how many became customers? Fix the slowest step first.
